Scott is a senior healthcare executive with in-depth experience with medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare services opportunities.

He is also a partner with Eastmont Partners, LLC, a healthcare management consulting and private investment firm, where he has consulted for some of the world’s leading healthcare-oriented private equity and venture capital firms, as well as leading academic medical institutions.

Prior to founding GI Scientific and Eastmont, he co-led the corporate development/M&A teams at Covidien PLC, now Medtronic PLC.  Before Covidien, he worked in the strategy and corporate development group at Edwards Lifesciences, and before Edwards, he practiced law at the international law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP.  Prior to practicing law, he served as the acting Chief Financial Officer for H-3 Systems, an Apple Computer-backed networking software start-up, and he began his career with Weyerhaeuser Company’s corporate venture capital unit.

He holds a M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
